An example of time and money lost to businesses without a Sabre biometric audit trail:

100 staff, Average wage R40 per hour per employee, with staff that only steal 1 minute for every clocking per day, based on 8 clockings which are - Arrival time, Start Morning Tea, End Morning Tea, Start Lunch, End Lunch, Start Afternoon Tea, End Afternoon Tea, End of Day – excluding smoke and toilet breaks.

This example is based on 8 minutes lost per staff member per day, for 100 staff. This equals 800 minutes per day (13.33 hours)

Therefore 13.33 hours multiplied by 22 working days per month at R40 per hour equals R11'730.40 on losses. If a production cost of R250 per hour is included, then multiply times by 13.33 hours, times 22 days per month. The monthly loss would then be R73'315.00!
